It is with great pleasure I get to recognize our amazing students and teachers!! Westside has received an award from USNews stating we are in the top 40% of elementary schools in the state of Tennessee after the 2023 TCAP results were released earlier this year. This award focuses on the achievement of our students…in other words, the percentage is the number of students scoring AT or ABOVE proficiency. Out of 1,547 elementary schools in the state, we are ranked 281!!! The achievement data from TCAP was analyzed and the schools were then ranked in order. At Westside, 32% of students in grades 3-5 scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 42% scored at or above that level for reading. Westside continues to achieve at a high level each year and I am SO proud of our teachers, staff, and especially our students!!
